Michael here. Welcome to the latest issue of "e-BizResources Update". And a special welcome to our new readers. I hope you're well.
There's a lot of valuable info here for you today, so make yourself comfortable and enjoy the read.
As you read through this issue, you'll notice that there's a bit of a common theme, at least in the first half. Sorry, no prizes for guessing what it is, you just get the satsifaction of knowing you're a genius! ;0)
I haven't arranged a guest article this issue. Instead, I've written a short note (which turned out to be a bit longer than I originally intended) and there's a terrific ebook for you to download.

1. To Niche or Not To Niche?
Unless you've been hibernating for the last few months, you've probably heard the term "Niche Marketing" a lot. It's one of the current buzz-words in online marketing. Which is kind of funny really since niche marketing has been around as long as marketing has existed. But what is it?
I recently read somewhere that "All marketing is Niche Marketing". I don't entirely agree with that - I'd say "ALMOST ALL marketing is Niche Marketing".
Niche Marketing is marketing products or services to groups of people (or businesses) who have specific needs or interests in common.
Obviously department stores and their online cousins don't fit that description, but almost everything else is ...
you guessed it; "Niche Marketing".
In the physical world, your local butcher, baker and candlestick maker (sorry, a LITTLE joke there - very little), greengrocer, shoe store, etc, etc. all cater to niche markets, some more focused than others.
And in the online world, any web site that focuses on a particular topic is a niche web site, and that describes the vast majority of web sites online today and in the past. So, those that are marketing any kind of product or service are actively into "Niche Marketing".
Some niches are more crowded and competitive than others. The niche focusing on internet marketing and making money online is probably the most crowded and competitive, and getting more so every day. But there are lots of other niches that are far less crowded and competitive.
The current emphasis on "Niche Marketing" could probably be more accurately termed;
"marketing to niches other than the 'making-money' niche".
Which opens up a lot of possibilities.
Do you have a hobby or hobbies? Play a sport? What are your interests, are you passionate about or obsessed with a particular subject or activity? (keep it clean, folks)
If so, chances are there are other people who share the same interest and that's a potential Niche Market! The same applies to any other hobbies and interests that you could name.
You need to do some research to determine if a particular niche or a related "sub-niche" is likely to be profitable.
Which brings us to ...

Think Niche and Grow Rich
The software tool that's mentioned in this ebook is called "Product Idea Profitability Evaluator". As I mentioned earlier, it takes a lot of the grunt work out of researching niche markets - making it almost push-button easy. You can check it out here: Product Idea Profitability Evaluator
Another great tool that I've recently acquired, which can help with your niche research is called Niche Database.
As the name suggests it's a huge database of keywords, with details of number of searches per month, number of competing websites and the resulting KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index - a measure of how competitive the niche is). You also get info about the number of Google and Overture ads relevant to that keyword.
There are other research, sorting and filtering features that I'm still finding my way through. All in all, it's a very powerful research tool, that'll save you heaps of time and effort. And the database is updated frequently, at no extra cost!
On the other hand, if you want to get an even quicker start or save yourself even more effort, check out Strike It Niche!
Michael Holland has already done a lot of this research for you. So, "Strike It Niche!" gives you details of 70 high demand, low competition niche markets that you can get into straight away.
You get a "blueprint" for each niche business. Each blueprint gives a number of suggestions for suitable themes for your web site, profitable keywords, existing affiliate programs you can join in that niche and other suggestions for making money in that particular niche.
There are also a lot of more general hints, tips and bonuses to generate traffic and increase the profitability of any site. That URL again?]

Whichever route you decide to take, once you've got one niche site up and working well, you can move on and set up another, then another - as many as you want. And it'll get easier with each one you do.

11. About the Complete Affiliate Link Protection System.
You may remember that there was a concern about this script because it triggered a js.downloader.trojan warning from Norton Antivirus.
I'm pleased to inform you that it's okay. They were false alarms.
The java script generated by the encryption function occasionally contains a word or two that are SIMILAR to Norton's trigger words, causing a misidentification.
The page in question was actually referred to Symantec by a subscriber and it was given the "all clear".
So, I've re-activated the download link on the thankyou page and you can start using this valuable software.
